Tier variants

Tier variants refer to special or lowered rates offered to particular group such as NTUC union member, Friends of UPlay etc. Such rates are visible only to customers who are identified as members of those groups and not to general public.

Before you start

  • Ensure a consumer segment has been added to package before proceeding to add tier variant. Refer to package details article and price tier tab to learn more.

  • If both package variants and tier variants do not exist, only default price (from package level) will be displayed in the package.

  • If package variants exist, package variants rates will take precedence over default rate.

  • both package variants and tier variants exist, tier variants will take precedence over package variants rates.

Add a tier variant

In this illustration, we are using NTUC (Silver) as consumer segment and adding NTUC union rate standard peak adult day pass.

  1. Navigate to Price tiers and click on NTUC (Silver). Tier variants tab will appear.

  1. Click Tools > +New button. A small window will pop up.

Description of product. This description is displayed: (a) When customer selected a ticket or cabana in the package. (b) At checkout page. (c) Printed on eTicket product description.

Rates offered to customers before promo code

Availability

Whether this is applicable to peak, off-peak or perpetual

Available from

Display start date of product in package dropdown list

Available till

Display end date of product in package dropdown list. Once past date, product will not be visible in package

Early bird pricing

Not in use.

Late registration pricing

Not in use.

Statistical group

Statistical group required by club finance

Bundle/Inventory

This is mandatory field when product is a ticket bundle or cabana, where inventory quantity tracking is required.

Block additional discount

When product is already on lower or discounted rate and applying promo code for further discounts is not applicable

Block GWP

When product is already on lower or discounted rate and any complimentary items associated with this product are not applicable

Channel

Whether the product is to be published for sales at online, onsite or both

TnC Override

Each eTicket PDF page contains a list of terms & conditions. This field should be populated if there are additional terms & conditions to be made known to customers.

  1. Populate values into respective fields.

  1. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  2. New tier variant is added to tier variants tab.

  1. Repeat above steps to add more tier variants.

How tier variant is displayed in package

NTUC member price tier is highlighted after a NTUC union customer logs in. Only rates that are configured to NTUC members are displayed.

NTUC members will not be able to purchase tickets under Guests or Friends of UPlay price tier rates.
