Package details

After creating a package, you proceed to edit package by adding more details such as ticket type, rates, recurrence, sessions etc.

This article provides an overview of package configuration and editing options.


Overview

There are 3 sections within a package configuration.

  • By default, each package has a top, middle and bottom sections.

  • By default, each section has its own array of tabs added automatically. However, not all tabs are applicable depending on business requirement.

(a) Tier variants for segment product rates and applicable to specific membership or group such as NTUC members, Friends of UPlay etc.

(b) This section is hidden by default, even if tier variants has been configured. To view it, click on Price Tier tab > segment value.

(c) Tier variants will take precedent over package variants rates.

(d) 1 tab is available.

Add package details

  1. Navigate to UPlay contents > Package. Search and locate the package.

  2. Click on Package ID to view package details.

  1. Top section tabs are listed. Click and expand below blocks to learn about purpose of the tabs and its configurations.

Registrations
  1. Registration tab contains purchase transactions made by customers.

  2. Transactions are in display mode only, editing is not permitted. Data displayed includes invoice#, session time, price and contact details etc.

  1. Transactions listed are in various status such as settled, cancelled and abandoned.

  1. When transaction status = Settled It means payment went through successfully.

  1. When transaction status = Cancelled It means customer was at checkout but clicked back on browser. No payment made.

  1. When transaction status = Abandoned It means customer added items to cart but did not proceed with checkout and left items in cart. No payment was made.

Price Tiers

Rates in a package are displayed for general public. However, there could be scenarios whereby you want to configure special or discounted rates for a particular group such as NTUC member and/or Friends of UPlay etc.

Add price tier

  1. Click Price Tiers > Tools > +New. A small window will pop up.

  1. Click Search button next to Segment field. Search by inputting a keyword and click search button.

  1. Price refers to ticket rates to the segment.

  1. Populate values accordingly. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  1. Saved segment is added into Price tiers tab.

  1. To add product rates for price tiers, refer to tab definition - middle section.

Promotions

An exclusive promo code can be added to a specific package, and can only be used when that package is added to the cart. Such promo code cannot be applied for another package.

However, promo code must first be created in promo code menu before adding to a package. Refer to promo code article to learn more.

Images
  1. Images uploaded as thumbnail and full image are stored in this tab. Do not edit these configuration values.

  1. More images can be uploaded for display within a package.

How to add new image

  1. Click +New button. A new window will pop up.

Sub Type *

Max 2 images can be displayed at a time, and will be static. When you have more than 2 images, excluding thumbnail, select sub type as Carousel so that images can auto-rotate in 5 seconds interval

Site

A package can be selected for cross-sell across various Avalon sites, selecting a site value means different sites can display different package images.

  1. Populate values into respective fields.

  2. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  3. Once save, image row is added to the tab. Repeat from step 1 to add more images.

How to replace image You can replace images from the package.

  1. Click on the image row to highlight it.

  2. Click on tools > Edit.

  1. Click select file to update/replace with preferred image.

  1. Click Save button to save changes or Cancel button to exit without saving changes.

How to delete image You can delete or remove images from the package.

  1. Click on the image row to highlight it.

  2. Click tools > Delete button

  1. Press OK to confirm deletion.

  2. Refresh package at browser to verify that image has been removed.

Merchants (Not in use)

Not in use.

Recurrences
  1. For creating recurring sessions over selected date range.

  2. Some sessions are repetitive or recurring over a period of time. Utilize recurrences to generate/create multiple recurring sessions at one go.

  3. Each recurrences record can be configured to generate sessions that are recurring at hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.

  4. Each recurrence record contains only one type of recurrence cron. Eg: Recurrence record 101 generates sessions that are daily whilst recurrence record 102 generates sessions that are monthly.

  5. Each package can contain single or multiple recurrences records.

How to add recurrences

  1. Click Recurrences > Tools > +New. A small window will pop up.

Start date *

First date for recurrence and sessions. Eg: 01-December

End date *

Last date for recurrence and sessions. Eg: 31-December

Details *

Short description of recurrence. Eg: 2024DEC

Recurrence Cron *

Frequency of recurring sessions. Check this checkbox to view recurring options. Eg: Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. For the month of December, sessions are to occur daily, so total of 31 sessions will be generated.

  1. Populate values into respective fields.

  1. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  1. Recurrence record is added to the tab.

Note

  1. Editing an existing recurrence record does not auto-update its generated sessions.

  2. Deleting a recurrence record does not delete its generated sessions, and vice versa.

  1. When configuring recurrence start time, do note that it should be a future time. Eg: Today is 31-March, 08:30 am. You want to create recurring session for month of April, from 01-Apr 11:00 am to 30-April 17:30 pm. All April dates will be created.

  1. No sessions will not be created when date or time is in the past. Eg: Today is 01-April, 13:00 pm. You want to create recurring sessions for month of April, from 01-Apr 11:00 am to 30-April 17:30 pm. All April dates will be created, except 01-April because 11:00 am has already past.

Sessions
  1. All individual sessions created are stored in this tab.

  2. Sessions can be generated based on recurrence record or added manually.

  3. Sessions can be updated by either single or multiple sessions (bulk edit).

  4. Only ticket quantity can be bulk edited.

  5. Sessions can be deleted by selecting either single or multiple sessions.

How to add session manually

  1. Click Sessions > Tools > +New. A small window will pop up

How to edit single session

  1. Click Tools > Edit at the beginning of the session row.

  1. Update existing values.

  1. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  1. Session is updated to the tab.

How to edit multiple sessions

  1. Check the checkbox against preferred sessions.

  2. Click Tools > Bulk Edit. A window will pop out.

  1. Only ticket quantity is permitted to be bulk updated.

  1. Click Save to proceed with changes or Cancel to exit without saving.

  1. Quantity is updated to the tab.

How to delete single session

  1. Click Tools > Delete at the beginning of the session row.

  1. Confirmation prompt will appear. Click Confirm to delete the selected session.

3. Selected session will be deleted.

How to delete multiple sessions

  1. Check the checkbox against preferred sessions.

  1. Click Tools > Delete selected.

  1. Confirmation prompt will appear. Click Confirm to delete the selected session.

  1. Selected sessions will be deleted.

Note

  1. Editing or deleting an existing session has no impact on related recurrence records.

Access Segment

Access segments can be used to make a package visible or exclusive to specific groups only.

Eg: If the package is to be visible to company A, company A (segment) is to be added to this tab. General public can only view the package details but unable to view calendar or make any purchases etc.

Package can be purchased only when user login membership matches the access segment listed.

How to add access segment

  1. Click Access segment > Tools > +New. A small window will pop up.

  1. Input a keyword to find. Check the checkbox and click Close.

  1. Segment is added to access segment tab.

Add-Ons
  1. Having product add-ons allow your customers to personalize products or add non-ticket products to shopping cart.

  2. Each package can have single or multiple add-on items, depending on business needs.

How to add add-on item to package

  1. Click Add-on > Tools > +New. A small window will pop up

Total quantity of productions that are available for sale. Once quantity is reached, product will be marked as SOLD OUT in package dropdown option.

  1. Preview of how add-on appears as an option in online package.
