Promo Code

Promo code (or promotional code) is alphanumeric code that can be used for promotions, discounts, packages or unlocks special privileges for customers. There are many promo codes usage and configurations.

There are two types of promo codes:

• Base: The promo code is exactly the same for all your customers, means it can be shared, so it works best for general promotions that are not limited to specific customers.

• Unique: The promo code generated is unique for each customer and only one-time use.

Before you start

Important

1. Promo code name should be unique.

2. Each promo code can be configured for either single or multiple uses.

3. Promo code is not applied or can be used by all packages by default.

4. Promo code can be added/linked to specific packages.

5. Promo code discount can be configured as either Percentage, Amount or Tethered.

6. Uniquely generated promo codes can be redeemed only once.

1. If no Start and End Dates are specified, the promo code will be available indefinitely

2. If only Start date is set up - the promo code would be available from the Start date on.

3. If only End date is defined, the promo code will be available from the creation date until its End date.

4. If both Start and End dates are defined, the promo code will be available only between the two dates.

Applying promo code:

1. The default behavior of Promo codes, is that the promo code discount is subtracted from the default price, not from discounted package prices.

2. If “Apply to Price Tiers” checkbox is checked, then the promo code is deducted from the discounted price tier.

3. Promo code is not applicable to Add-on items.

4. Promo code is applied against the total price. Eg: If 1 transaction contains more than 1 ticket, the promo code will be applied towards the total price and not per single ticket.
