QR code, which stands for “quick response” is basically a barcode that holds information horizontally, the QR code does so both horizontally and vertically. This enables the QR code to hold over a hundred times more information.
QR code can store a website URL and once you scan it, the code connects you with a resource on the specific web. QR code does not collect personal information.
Most of UPlay package/session purchase confirmation email contains QR codes. These QR codes can be added into the email template and sent via email to event participants/attendees and allow for contactless check-ins.
Most smartphones or tablets have built-in QR scanners, which are sometimes built in the camera.
Access the B2B portal URL on your mobile phone or tablet.
Login to your B2B portal account. You will be prompted to input OTP.
Once logged in, click on Scan QR code widget.
You will be prompted whether to permit Avalon B2B portal to use the camera. In order to scan QR codes, you have to allow access to the camera. Please select Allow.
Place the camera over QR code and must be within the square area.
You can click on Stop camera button to disable camera usage.
After scanning a QR code, data will be stored in Avalon. Depending on what QR code was scanned, there are a few pages to consider.
