Trust bank card promo code

A new partnership between UPlay and Trust Bank offers Trust Bank Card Holders promotional discounts when they purchase packages using their card. To ensure that only Trust Bank Card holders can apply a specific promo code, please follow the steps below to update it in Avalon.

This means that if a customer tries to use a promo code that is restricted to Trust Bank Card BIN prefixes and attempts to make payment using a credit card that is not a Trust Bank Card, they will receive an error message informing them that the payment cannot be processed.

Function was implemented in Sprint 4, w.e.f 15 March 2024.

Configuration steps in Avalon

1. Create a promo code (a) Check the 'Is active' box to set the promo code as active, and input a valid start and end date.

   (b) Update Discount Type and amount as well as Total Qty and

   (c) Update Card BIN Prefixes that are according to Trust Bank's number. Example: 498843* (First six digits of the bank's card number)

1. Link promo code Add/Link the promo code to the package that will be offered to Trust Bank Card holders. Non-Trust Bank Card holders will still be able to browse/purchase tickets from the package, but they are restricted from using this specific promo code.

1. Applying promo code Trust Bank Card Holders can purchase tickets from the package (step 2) by applying the promo code, and proceed to make payment using the Trust Bank card. If Payment is successful, the customer will get an order status (invoice).

1. Attempt to pay with non-Trust card If customer attempts to make payment (after applying the promo code) using a different credit card (meaning BIN prefix does not match), an error message will appear.

1. How to continue with payment Customer has two options, should they choose to continue with purchase: (a) Click 'Back to Cart' button, remove the promo code, and proceed to make payment using a Non-Trust Bank card; or (b) Click 'Update Payment Details' button, and change the card number to Trust Bank Card number with BIN prefix that matches the ones defined in promo code.

This function is not limited to Trust card but other credit cards too.
